We were initially contacted by facilities manager Brian Johnson after a visit to our website. He had been looking for a local supplier of high quality directional signage, for the recently refurbished hospital at Apperley Bridge, Bradford. Even though I have perfect eyesight, an appointment was made for me to visit the hospital for a consultation. Immediately on arrival you can see where Optegra have spent over a million pounds to make this one of the premier eye clinics in the UK. The reception area is breathtaking, everything is state of the art with an emphasis on open plan waiting areas. To complement the glass and steel foyer, we proposed flame polished 6mm clear acrylic panels, with reverse-applied graphics to include the Optegra branding. The signs were to be stood-off on 12mm polished chrome spacers, to give the impression that the signs were floating slightly from the walls and doors.
We’re now probably the UK’s leading supplier of this type of bespoke signage, and as such were confident that Brian would be happy with the finished results. After artwork and super-imposed images were sent and approved, the new signs were manufactured and installed within seven working days.
After subsequent visits to provide additional signage, I have to say that Jon Grant (our production manager) and his team, have excelled themselves on this project. You don’t need 20/20 vision to see that this is yet another job well done (did you see what I did there…?).
